As a provider based RHC, we have to submit our Medicare and Medicaid clinic and lab claims on UB forms. We are trying to figure out how to close care gaps and reduce HEDIS requests by utilizing CPT II codes. But, Medicare, Medicaid and the Advantage Plans for both do not accept Category II codes on the UB claim form from what I understand. How are other RHCs addressing this? Is this anything that is on NARHC's radar to address with CMS? Thank you for your feedback, Connie Lovell Connie Lovell, MSOM, CPC | Director of Health Information Management 7/24/2020 @ 1:37:00 PM

Cat II codes cannot be reported on institutional UB claims. The codes must be reported through a registry-either through CMS or a 3rd party. The codes can be reported on the 1500 format for states which use the 837P for RHC Medicaid claims.
