Was wondering if rapid flu testing, CPT code is 87804, is a billable code in an RHC?

For Medicare you would bill Medicare Part B and not Part A. For Medicaid, it may vary by state. For Illinois, we get no extra reimbursement for this.

It is billable as long as you have a CLIA waived lab certificate. Any waived test that can be performed under your CLIA is billable. If you are an independent RHC, the labs will be billed under your Part B number for Medicare. If you are a provider based RHC, the labs will be billed by your parent hospital for Medicare. Follow your state Medicaid program's guidance for billing labs. For Commercial claims, these will typically fall on the one claim with the other services.
