We have started our flu shot clinics and I have been told that we have to have an order from the provider to give them.  Does anyone have any input on this?

Some systems require an order to be able to create the charge. Some do not. Some RHCs have standing orders for flu shots as long as the patient is screened and consent is given. You will not be dropping Medicare flu shots to a claim so that is not an issue. It sounds like you have an internal or system workflow issue.
