We are in the process of converting a clinic into a provider-based RHC. The clinic currently does INR checks as nurse visits. Do any RHCs do this, and if so, how is it set up? How is the billing done? Thank you, Amanda Osuna 10/27/2020 @ 10:29:00 AM

The INR does not normally require a face to face with the RHC provider since the lab values and dosing are standing orders. If this is a nurse visit, then the cost of the staffing is included in the RHC allowable costs and included in the rate calculation on the cost report. The nurse visits are not counted as encounters.
