Notices of Award began to go out today for the RHC Vaccine Confidence Grants. More than 1,980 clinics will receive approximately $49,500. It may take up to a day for the system to process awards given the large number, but notifications are being sent to the email contact listed in the grant application. Congratulations to those of you that received the grant and we look forward to working with you as you use this funding to combat vaccine hesitancy within your communities!

Just a reminder that this funding will not automatically appear in RHC bank accounts, but instead will be accessed through a sub-account in the Payment Management System (PMS). More details on this can be found in individual NOAs and resources on overall grants management are coming soon!

We hope that RHCs will utilize this discussion thread to share their plans for use of the Vaccine Confidence grant funding, to ask questions, and to collaborate on ideas.

Has anyone been notified as to whether or not they've received the grant?

We have not heard one way or the other, although we know several clinics
that have already received notice. We have Called several different
departments to confirm if we could at least know if we will receive it or
denied. We have not been able to get that answer. --

We have not received notice. I contacted HRSA, and they said notifications are still going out.

We received ours last week! I'll admit to being disappointed it wasn't the full $50k they talked about the whole time.....but we have amazing plans for the money!

1.  Updating our website with vaccine information that includes beautiful artwork in multiple languages - created by Boost Oregon who agreed to license it to us!

2.  We'll be sending out text blasts by age group to any kiddo who needs a Wellness visit - if we mention vaccines they might ignore it.

3.  We will send out 2nd blasts to the age groups targeted as 'important' by Oregon Health Authority after all kiddos get that first one.  Blasts will only go to those who didn't schedule after the first one.

4.  We are hosting a new event on August 21st at a park here in Woodburn from 10am - 1pm called Kids Fest!  We'll have 30 (confirmed as of today) or more organizations hosting tables with information about services available to everyone in our community regardless of age.  How does this help vaccine confidence?  One table will have pharmacists ready to answer questions about COVID vaccines (may actually give them if we can work logistics out) BUT the best part is this:  We're giving away 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies for the first 1,500 kids who come!!  The City of Woodburn gave us additional money so we could have more backpacks - we're in a super low income area so our families will love getting the supplies.  Tucked inside the backpack will also be age-appropriate information about vaccines in their preferred language!  Each will have our name, website and phone number on it so they can call to make an appointment or ask questions.....the info packet includes the beautiful artwork we'll have on our website that is super understandable for parents.

 5.  Later in the year we'll mail postcards to those still missing Wellness visits.  One of our vaccine companies is supplying us with the postage-paid cards in 5 different languages!

All this is added to our current 'recall' processes - they are super manual so we hope these new activities will give us a boost.

Hi everyone! HRSA is releasing Notices of Award for these grants on a rolling basis. These began to go out on July 22nd, but not all of them have been sent yet. We appreciate your patience on this and are happy to see this thread be used to share your plans for the funding!

I found this link yesterday.

https://www.hrsa.gov/coronavirus/rural-health-clinics/confidence/funding

"All eligible Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) that applied received HRSA awards of approximately $49,500 per RHC site. RHCVC grant recipients are RHCs with a unique, active Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Certification Number (CCN) listed in either the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Provider of Service file, the CMS Survey & Certification's Quality, Certification and Oversight Reports (QCOR), or new RHCs that received and passed a CMS-approved certification or accreditation survey."
