Make Your Voice Heard – Medicare Deregulation Request for Information

Sarah Hohman, Director of Government Affairs, NARHC

04/30/2025

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking responses on possible changes to Medicare regulations. This follows the Trump Administration’s Executive Order “Unleashing Prosperity Through Deregulation.”

They are specifically inviting comments on the topics below:

  • Streamlining Regulatory Requirements
  • Opportunities to Reduce Administrative Burden of Reporting and Documentation
  • Identification of Duplicative Requirements

This is an opportunity for RHCs to weigh in on a broad array of regulations that may be costly or burdensome and that you feel do not positively impact patient care.

Any individual is welcome to submit a response, and NARHC will be submitting comments on behalf of RHCs, as well.

If you have specific regulatory reductions suggestions to be included in NARHC’s response, or any questions on this RFI, please reach out to NARHC’s Director of Government Affairs, Sarah Hohman (sarah.hohman@narhc.org) by May 16, 2025. Make sure your RHC’s experiences are reflected in our comments!

Past advocacy letters and comments submitted by NARHC can be found here.
