Dear RHC Community,

We are thrilled to announce that the 2026 Bill Finerfrock Health Policy Fellowship Application is now open!

This is an exciting opportunity for rural health professionals to immerse themselves in advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The Fellow’s firsthand experience in rural health will be instrumental in advancing NARHC’s advocacy work and spotlighted in meetings with Congressional Offices and Federal Agencies. Ultimately, the Fellow’s goal is to bring perspective to RHC policies and grow NARHC’s grassroots advocacy efforts across rural communities.

Designed for mid-career professions working in the RHC setting or a rural health care system, the selected BFHP Fellow will reside in Alexandria, Virginia for either a 4-week continuous timeframe, or two, 2-week periods in May, June, or July 2026.

Lodging and travel expenses will be fully covered by the program, and a $8,000 stipend will be provided to the fellow directly. Additionally, the selected Fellow’s employer will receive a $2,000 stipend to be used as the organization sees fit in gratitude for its support of the fellow’s participation in this program.
