Hello RHC Community,

The NARHC staff is hosting an office hours call via zoom tomorrow that we invite you to join!

This is a new form of technical assistance/communication that we are testing out and we are hoping it will compliment our existing TA (website/webinar/forums) offerings. 

You can ask us about any RHC topic! The only thing we cannot do during the office hours is advocate, but any federal (Medicare/HRSA programs/certification) RHC question you have is fair game!

We hope that this will develop into a new way for NARHC staff to have a dialogue with the RHC community! Feel free to join us anytime 2-3 PM tomorrow and ask your questions or just hear what questions RHCs are asking!

Hi Ramsey,

Yes we just did the office hour call from 2-3 PM Eastern and we had about 100 people call in!

Thanks to all who joined us. We are going to have another office hour call next week and maybe tweak a few things (such as moving from a Zoom call to a Zoom webinar) to improve the overall experience! Stay tuned in on the this forum for the new link for next week!

We may also post follow-ups to the office hour calls on this discussion forum, on questions we either couldn't answer or weren't able to get to. Again this a new thing we are trying out and we are learning as we go.

I know that we (at NARHC) found it very beneficial because the conversation helps us get a sense of what is on the top of everyone's mind which helps us prioritize what we focus on.

On the next Office Hours call can you discuss billing for RPM (remote patient monitoring) in a RHC setting.

Hi Lisa,

Happy to discuss anything on the next office hours!

But want to respond briefly on RPM in an RHC.

Right now, this is not something that can be billed through your RHC for Medicare. It does not meet the definition of an encounter and CMS has not created a specific G-code to allow RHCs/FQHCs to bill for it.

There is a possibility that CMS will create G-code to allow RHCs/FQHCs to bill for RPM in the physician fee schedule (we asked them to in our comments last year) and there is also the possibility that Congress passes legislation to enable RPM in the RHC setting.
