Do you all use a 3rd party vendor for labs such as quest or do you send 100% of your labs through your hospital laboratory? If so, do you have push back on higher prices? Thank you! 3/22/2024 @ 5:34:00 PM

We send 100% to the hospital lab. We get complaints on pricing. We’ve heard of others sending some to LabCorp and some to the hospital as a solution, but we haven’t done that. I wasn’t sure if it would be possible. Interested in learning what others have done.

Do you lower prices on certain tests (across the organization) to lower complaints? We use quest for insured individuals that insurance plans have special pricing contracts, but our billing consultant is telling us that it shouldn't matter and that their insurance will also cover the hospital lab because it is a continuation of care. I just wasn't sure what others have experienced. 3/26/2024 @ 12:11:00 PM
